Rescue: Christ's Power to Redeem (September 4 - November 20, 2011)
We’ve been deeply wounded by the sins of others. Their thoughts. Their words. Their deeds. Their ill-motives. We’ve only deepened our wounds by our sinful responses to others. Our thoughts. Our words. Our deeds. Our ill-motives. Christ came to rescue us from the dominion of darkness that has our world spiraling out of control. He offers true redemption, the forgiveness of sins.  This is the current series.  Click here to view messages!
Seven: Is this Really Christ's Church? (July 10 - August 28, 2011)
There is no perfect church. There are only churches being sanctified, being made perfect, and being made holy. Christ is fully vested in redeeming his Church, sanctifying his Church, perfecting his Church, and showering grace and peace on his Church, so that he can more fully use his Church as his chosen instrument of redemption and hope in the world. Christ wants the light of his Church to shine brilliantly for his glory. That is his intent. It's restorative, not punitive.

Generous: The Heartbeat of God (June 5 - July 3, 2011)
We pause to ask some important questions. What is the source of generosity? What compels some to be generous, but others to hold back? Does generosity make any logical or financial sense? Do the rewards of generosity outweigh the sacrifice that is required now? Would others describe me as generous?

Trust: Questioning God (April 24 - May 29, 2011)
Our world is broken in every way imaginable. We live with natural calamity, man-made calamity, and violence. Because we live in a broken world, our lives are troubled and we are at the brink of disaster. We question God when life is on the brink. Is he hearing us? Does he care? Is he going to do anything to help relieve our trouble? When life in on the brink, what will it be? Will you call on the name of the Lord and trust him?

Why is this happening to me?
What is in my future?
What is my path forward?
Where is my help for today?
What does God have in store for me?
Who helps me in troubling times?

Dysfunctional Family Christmas (December 6 - December 27, 2009)

The holidays have a way of amplifying the dysfunction in every family.  Sometimes we can laugh off the dysfunction.  But most of the time, the pain is just too deep.  Truth be told, Jesus came from a dysfunctional family too.  This Christmas we contemplate the Heavenly Father's perfect love for the generations of imperfect people through whom Jesus traces his legal and biological lineage.

Nehemiah: More Than Just a Wall (October 18 - November 29, 2009)

Our land is in great trouble and disgrace.  There is record unemployment.  Greed has ravaged corporate America, destroying the wealth of millions.  We have become a nation of consumers and debtors, owned by another.  We lack moral clarity on how, or even if, we should care for the sick and aging.  Children are killing one another without conscience on the streets of our cities.  Babies are aborted in the name of choice, never seeing the light of life. Our government is saddled with corruption, and politicians disgrace themselves daily by some new scandal.  Our universities are hard at work, deprogramming our youth of their "harmful" Christian values and beliefs.  God is no longer relevant.  Believing in him is the problem, or so we are made to think.

We’ve seen this storyline before.  Devoid of God, we long for some hero to lead us out of the dark hole we have dug for ourselves.  Desperate for hope, we chase one empty promise after another.  But no hero emerges!  No promise delivers.  Hope proves elusive.  Our land continually deteriorates.  Join us for a hard-hitting sermon series that takes a different approach, and proposes timeless solutions to the trouble and disgrace we’ve created for ourselves.  When there are no good answers, there is only one place to turn.

Lakeside DNA: Building Blocks of a Healthy Church (January 4 - February 22, 2009)

We don't see DNA.  We don't really think about DNA.  Yet every cell in our body functions according to a design, a blueprint, a recipe, and a microscopic set of instructions.  DNA is the most basic building block of life!  Now, we cannot change our physical DNA, per se.  But what if we could change our spiritual DNA?  What if we could change the blueprint, the recipe, or the source code by which we've come to live our lives?  This series will explore the spiritual DNA of God's family, the Church.

Sin City: What Happens in Corinth Stays in Corinth (September 7 - November 30, 2008)

A study of 1 Corinthians.  We jokingly repeat the popular tag line, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."  This line entices us to believe that sin can be exhilarating, playful, and even harmless.  But is this true?  Like Vegas, Corinth had proudly established herself as a pleasure capital in the first century.  Tragically, like the city of Corinth, the Church at Corinth was beginnng to lose her way.  The book of 1 Corinthians was written to teach us about the power of God's grace, the lure of sin, and the dangers of losing our way in a godless culture.
