What an incredible night we had worshiping together this past Sunday at our concert of worship. It was amazing to be a part of a community lifting up praise to God for the hope and joy of God’s coming Kingdom and the chance to partner with him in his Kingdom work here and now. I want to personally thank everyone who joined us that night and made it possible. I knew we had some incredibly talented artists but they simply blew my mind with what they brought as an offering. Between their artwork and our congregation’s generosity we collected $2,749.62! Thank you so much for your heartfelt offering. The money will be divided between Jump for Joel and Inner City Mission. Someone told me he was sure that God was smiling on our praise that night and very pleased with our actions done for his glory. Thank you so much to the many people that gave of their time and talents and resources to make this Worship Night one of the best so far. Thanks to the band, horn section, violinists, vocalists, tech crew, ushers, artists, and everyone for being a part of this wonderful night. We are truly blessed. To God alone be the glory!

Jump for Joel, is one of the organizations that we partnered with for this night, and was started by Shana Stine a former student at University of Illinois Springfield and Christian Student Fellowship. Her organization helps to meet the needs of an orphanage in Kenya and connect children overseas with children here. |

The other organization is Inner City Mission which has had a long partnership with Lakeside in helping the homeless here in Springfield.

Here's How You Can Continue to Contribute!
We know that God is working in powerful ways through these two organizations are want to help them in their efforts in a number of ways that night. Here are some opportunities you will want to know about:
- Our Children will be collecting can goods and food items for the entire month of October. You may find a full list on the grocery cart in the entryway or by CLICKING HERE.
- Become a prayer partner for the inner city mission. They will be starting a 30 day prayer campaign this fall and will have prayer guides available so you can lift them and their efforts up.
