  1. In what ways has God made himself known to you? What are some things you have come to know about him? What does 1 Timothy 1:17 add to your knowledge of God?
  2. Read Colossians 1:13-23. What do you learn about God the Father and Jesus the Son in this passage? Why was peace needed in verse 20-23?
  3. Read John 14:1-14. What did Jesus say to his disciples to give them confidence? What seems to be Jesus’ main point?
  4. Read John 14:15-31. How will the Holy Spirit help the disciples in the difficult days to come? Jesus tells the disciples to not let their hearts be troubled in verse 14:1 and again in verse 14:27. What did he say between those verses to help them find peace?
  5. Read John 11:11-48. Why do you think Jesus asked Martha the question in verses 25-26? What did Martha learn about peace through this occasion?
  6. Why do so many people fail to find peace in Jesus? Have you found peace? If not, what is holding you back?
