Christian Student Fellowship

Located at University of Illinois in Springfield, Christian Student Fellowship is a place for students who are on a spiritual journey. Whether you're just starting out or you've been headed this way for a while, CSF wants to help you find your way back to God! Volunteers are always needed to provide meals for the students throughout the semester. Keep in mind that it doesn’t take much to impress college students… cook up a storm, or just order pizzas.

Inner City Mission

Inner City Mission provides shelter, sustenance, education and Christian counseling to homeless children, their parents and single women while keeping Biblical truths about Godly righteousness before our culture, community, and fellow Christians. Volunteers are always needed to help with cooking, collecting food/clothing, sorting food/clothing, prayer, repairing vehicles, plumbing, electrical, literacy, painting, remodeling, construction, building furniture (i.e. bunk beds, dressers), computers, internet, Bible studies, and more.

Lake Springfield Christian Assembly

Known as LSCA, this camp has provided summer camps and retreats for over 70 years for the sake of developing camper’s Christian walk. LSCA’s mission is to see people of all ages make life changing decisions to be more like Christ. The camp offers an environment to deepen relationships, laugh, sing, pray, swim, and canoe. Volunteer opportunities are endless with the large area to maintain, numerous people needed to lead and assist with camps and retreats, cooks, clean-up crews and many more! Keep your eyes open for LSCA work days and other events held throughout the year at LSCA.

Lewis Memorial Christian Village (LMCV)

LMCV is a continuous care retirement community for those in need of assisted living. Volunteers are always needed to encourage residents, share conversation, sew name tags on clothing, help with crafts and activities, prepare tables before meals, throw parties, and engage in other practical ministry. Contact LMCV today to be put on a Lakeside Volunteer team!

Lincoln Christian University

Lincoln Christian University (LCU) is a Christian higher education community whose mission is to nurture and equip Christians with a Biblical worldview to serve and lead in the church and the world. Offering almost 30 programs, LCU offers opportunities to advance your education with a Biblical base. LCU opens its doors to host a variety of retreats and conferences throughout the year. Love Packages

Providing Christian literature to missionaries throughout the world, this mission is located in Butler, IL. Have extra Bibles or books that you’ve read and want to pass along for others to read? Love Packages provides a way for God’s Word and Christian literature to reach the hands of millions across the world. Volunteers can help on site by helping pack boxes of literature to be distributed around the world.

The James Project

The James Project is a mission with the vision of making a difference for over 500 foster children in Sangamon County. This mission offers many opportunities for volunteering through tutoring, providing a meal, transporting needed items, helping with home repair or yard maintenance and more. The James Project works to recruit Christian adults as potential foster parents and are willing to invest time in mentoring those interested. If you have a heart for orphans, there are many ways you can do something to help.
