When: July 28 – August 4, 2026
Who: Current (2025–2026) 8th – 12th Grade Students
Where: Santiago, Dominican Republic with GO Ministries
GO MINISTRIES — WHO WE’LL BE WORKING WITH
GO Ministries empowers local leaders to make disciples as God redeems people, renews communities, and restores creation through mutual transformation.
A trip with GO will be eight days of experiencing Dominican culture and GO’s disciple-making mission. We’ll see firsthand how God is using local leaders to make disciples in their own contexts. This trip is about the Holy Spirit’s power to bring mutual transformation—as we serve alongside local leaders and return home empowered to lead in our own communities.
THE TEAM + APPLICATION PROCESS
This trip has the potential to be a life-changing experience. We want our team to be a God-led, Spirit-filled group of students and adults who are ready to serve God’s Kingdom.
Each person must complete an application and participate in a conversational interview to be selected for the trip.
Students applying for the trip should be:
- Entering 9th grade – just graduated at the start of the 2026–2027 school year
- Able to obtain a valid U.S. Passport before leaving
- Ready for God to use them before, during, and after the trip
If you are interested in going, please fill out the application at the bottom of the page by December 7th.
After submitting your application, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. This conversation helps us get to know you—and gives you an opportunity to share why you want to be part of this trip!
THE COST + FUNDRAISING PROCESS
Total Trip Cost: $2,200
This includes:
- Transportation (airfare, travel to/from airport, and on-island transportation)
- Meals (except for travel days)
- Housing
Additional costs to plan for:
- 3 travel meals + optional spending money for souvenirs (suggested: $150)
- U.S. Passport (must be in-hand by June 9 — approximately $130)
We don’t expect you to pay $2,200 out of pocket—and we’d prefer that you don’t! Fundraising is an important part of the mission experience. It allows others to partner with you, spreads the word about what God is doing, and builds trust in His provision.
Planned Fundraisers:
- Support Letter Writing (for prayer + financial support) — Join us for the letter-writing party on January 4th! You’re encouraged to start early and reach out beyond Lakeside friends and family.
- Lakeside Fundraising Events — We’ll participate together in church-based fundraisers.
- Personal Fundraising Ideas — As a team, we’ll brainstorm creative ways each person can raise support from home.
